Former Brazilian
footballer Ronaldinho was
transferred to house arrest on Tuesday afternoon after a court hearing in
Asunciòn, the capital of Paraguay. Ronaldinho had been in prison since March 6,
when he was arrested along with his brother and agent Roberto de Assis on
charges of having entered Paraguay with a fake passport. This was the fourth
attempt to release Ronaldinho and
his brother: they will spend the arrests in a hotel in the city center.
According to the Brazilian edition of ESPN, the transfer was possible thanks to
a $ 1.6 million bail received through a personal account of the former football
player.
