The first leg of the Champions
League semi-finals between Liverpool
and Roma will play tonight at 8:45
pm at Liverpool's Anfield Road. It will be the second Champions League semi-final in the history of Roma: the first
played in the 1983/1984 edition: it also reached its first - and so far unique
- final, which lost at the Olimpico against Liverpool, on penalties.

Both Roma and Liverpool have finished their groups in
the first place and in the last sixteen have eliminated respectively Shakhtar
Donetsk and Porto. Roma reached the Champions
League semi-finals after making one of the most beautiful achievements in
the tournament's history: they eliminated Barcelona by winning 3-0 in the
quarter-final after losing the first leg to 4-1. Liverpool managed to eliminate
Manchester City, England champion and one of the favorites for the Champions
League victory, winning 3-0 in the first leg and 2-1 in the second leg.
The first leg matches of the Champions League semi-finals will be played between today and
tomorrow: the other semi-final is Bayern Munich-Real Madrid. The return matches
are scheduled between May 1 (Real Madrid-Bayern Munich) and May 2
(Rome-Liverpool). The final will be held at the Kiev Olympic Stadium on
Saturday 26 May.
