The arrival of Dunga returned confidence to Brazil after the
worst defeat in its football history.
Brazil dispute the Copa America with the idea to forget the
fiasco of the World Cup in which he suffered a historic humiliation by losing
7-1 with Germany in the semifinals.
That disaster led to the departure of Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari,
who was replaced by Dunga, now in his second spell in charge of the world
champions.
"In Brazil changed a lot, changed every day. It's a team
with more confidence and maturity," Dunga said Tuesday at a news
conference. "We try to show them (the players) how important they are for
their selection and their clubs."
On the first date of the continental tournament, Brazil, with
Neymar luxury, he suffered until the last minute to win 2-1 on Sunday and faces
Peru in Santiago on Wednesday against Colombia desperately seeking a positive
result after losing 1- 0 against Venezuela.
