Bayern Munich-Real
Madrid, the first
leg of the Champions League semi-finals,
is played tonight at 20.45 at the Allianz Arena in Munich. For Bayern Munich it will be a sort of
revenge of the quarterfinals of last year, when it was eliminated by Real Madrid after two games lost in
which there were many controversy over the referees, who committed several
decisive mistakes both in the first leg.

Both Bayern and Real Madrid ended their Champions League rounds in second place
and in the round of 16 they eliminated Besiktas and Paris Saint-Germain
respectively. Bayern reached the semi-finals after eliminating Sevilla by
Vincenzo Montella in the quarter-finals with a 2-1 round-trip result. Real
Madrid instead eliminated Juventus: the first leg had won 3-0 and on the
return, with Juventus who had managed to recover the disadvantage on 3-0, he
avoided that the game went on extra time, scoring a disputed soccer penalty at
the last minute with Cristiano Ronaldo.
The first Champions
League semi-final took place between Liverpool and Roma yesterday and ended
with Liverpool's 5-2 victory. The return matches are scheduled next week: May
1st and 2nd. The tournament final will be held at the Kiev Olympic Stadium on
Saturday 26 May.
